3 & D Hoops
Code of Conduct
All 3&D Parents (or legal guardians) and players are responsible to read, understand and adhere to this code of conduct. Any violation of this code of conduct may result in a loss of playing time, suspension from the team, or expulsion from the club without any form of refund.
Parents
-
I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at all times. I will not use profanity at anytime during a 3&D event, as it's inappropriate to curse at a children's sporting event.
-
I will not have a discussion with the coach about playing time in accordance with the Policy on Playing Time. Instead, I will encourage my child to advocate for themselves and discuss with the coach what they can improve upon to have a greater impact for the team.
-
I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the registered coaches for the team.
-
I will communicate and respond back to coaches/directors in a timely manner.
-
I will demand that my child treats other players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect at all times.
-
I will not ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a competition.
-
I will respect the officials and coaches for the authority during games and practices. If I have questions or would like to discuss a confidential topic, I will request to speak with a coach(es) before or after practice or an agreed upon time and never on the same day following the game.
-
I will review this Code of Conduct with my child and any other family member or guarding attending 3&D events and ensure they understand that this is binding on them as a participant or attendee in a 3&D event.
Players
-
I recognize that I'm a representative of 3&D Hoops on and off the court. As a result, I will always conduct myself as a positive member of my family, school, community and team.
-
I will let my coaches know, and get approval, before playing a basketball game with any other competitive club.
-
I will show respect and demonstrate good sportsmanship to all coaches, game officials, parents, teammates and opposing players at all times. I will not bully or otherwise disparage a teammate at anytime, and I will advocate for my teammates at all times, including at school, online and any other venue.
-
I will make a commitment to my team by attending as many practices and games as possible— even on days when I don’t feel like it — and letting my coach know at least 48 hours in advance when I can't make a 3&D event, practice or game.
-
I will help to keep the gymnasium/bench area clean at both home and away games.
-
I will give high effort and have a good attitude always.
-
I will maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average in school.
-
I will not attempt to hurt another player ever.
-
I will be a good role model, mentor and cheer leader to/for younger players in the program.
Payment
-
I understand by accepting a roster spot on a team (registering for the season or attending a team practice in the season), I agree to pay the season fee in full whether up front or over the season, if installment payments are provided as an option.
-
I understand there are no full or partial refunds for the season fee for any reason, including but not limited to injury, being suspended or removed from a team, leaving the team for any reason, lack of playing time, not having fun, etc.
-
I understand that, if installment payments are offered for a season, those installments are only to ease the up front financial burden of the full season fee and not correlated to any period of pay. For example, an Installment paid in May does not correlate to play in may, but rather is one payment towards the full season fee that is required to be completed upon accepting a roster spot.
